Swizzle shtick

We zoom down the Strip during the day, because if we saw all the neon, that might raise the question, “Why are we spending all this time inside a hotel when we could be outside checking out the fake New York skyline, or the fake Parisian cafés, or anything else at all?” Because this show is like a casino, that’s why: planned to make you wander around in an achronous daze, bereft of any orienting landmarks that might actually tell you where you are or how you got there, until you forget about actually leaving. Or, in this case, changing the channel.

Anyway, the computer-generated sign for the Montecito comes up, and we see that the casino is hosting an eponymous world-poker championship and featuring the magic of Vanko and Vera. The entertainment cup has runneth over, huh? But boy, does Dreamworks need to shift some money from the show’s zippy-camera department to the Photoshop monkeys: that sign looks like something I’d get forwarded in an email message along with pictures of kittens held at gunpoint.

Then, just in case you didn’t get to read the sign, we zoom inside the Montecito so we can see some security guard standing next to another sign announcing the poker tournament. Well, give these clowns’ general incompetence when it comes to keeping an eye out on live humans, I guess it’s best to let them practice on inanimate objects.

And on with the poker. Two announcers VO that this is one of the biggest poker events of the year, the stakes are high, the players are skilled, blah blee blah. We see a bunch of people the forum folks say are actual professional poker players, and then we see someone with the kind of poreless skin and symmetrical cheekbones that scream, “ACTOR!” The actor is acting all nervous, and we see a little bead of sweat run off his sideburn, drop, and turn into a prism reflecting the rest of the casino. And this is where someone needs to sit down the special effects department and tell them, “Just because you can do the transition doesn’t mean you should do the transition.” Also: it seems like copious flop sweat would be one of those tells that poker players would try to avoid. Deranged Hollywood types and socialites already Botox their armpits and feet so they don’t sweat all over their fancy-schmancy dresses and shoes; why wouldn’t poker players try to Botox their troublesome tell sites?

Vanessa Marcil

A mix of Mexican, French, Italian, and Portuguese roots, Vanessa Marcil was born Vanessa Ortiz on October 15, 1969, in Indio, California. She started acting when she was just 8 years old but decided to study law after graduating from high school. However, the acting bug persisted and Marcil turned to theater, acting in several Neil Simon productions. In 1992, the actress joined the cast of General Hospital and stayed for six years (she returned to guest star in 2000, 2002, and 2003).

While working on General Hospital, Marcil appeared in the film The Rock and the made-for-television movie To Love, Honor, and Deceive. In 1997 she had a recurring guest role on the TV series High Incident. After leaving the soap opera, she joined the cast of Beverly Hills 90210 in 1998 but left two years later to pursue other projects such as the forgettable movies Nice Guys Sleep Alone, This Space Between Us, and Storm Watch. In 2003, Marcil landed a role on Las Vegas starring James Caan.

The actress married actor Corey Feldman in 1989 but divorced him two years later. She has a son with Beverly Hills 90210 costar Brian Austin Green.
Smolderingly beautiful actress Vanessa Marcil had a talent for performing from the time she was a little girl. She started out by acting in school plays and in talent shows, eventually winning the role of Brenda Barrett on the daytime soap General Hospital in 1996. Later that same year, she caught the attention of a much wider audience when she was cast opposite Nicolas Cage in the high-octane action thriller The Rock. A few years later, she joined the cast of the tawdry night-time soap Beverly Hills 90210, which she stayed with for two seasons. In 2003, she was cast in the series Las Vegas, a one-hour dramedy about the ins and outs of a high-roller casino. Audiences loved the show and they loved Marcil just as much — she stayed with the series for multiple seasons.

Watch Las Vegas TV Show Online

Created by Gary Scott Thompson, NBC’s Las Vegas TV Show was the sort of flamboyant ensemble series in which important plot points and details of character motivation were cunningly revealed slowly, with each succeeding episode, on a “need to know” basis.

Las-Vegas-Pro703

James Caan headed the cast as “Big Ed” Deline, a former CIA undercover agent, latterly head of security at a fashionable Vegas casino. Deline’s right-hand man was ex-Marine Danny McCoy (Josh Duhamel), who had reluctantly accepted the job only after being caught in bed with Big Ed’s daughter Delinda (Molly Sims) and subsequently received an offer that would have been unhealthy to refuse. Other members of Deline’s team included Vanessa Marcil as Samantha Jane Harper, Nikki Cox as Mary Connell, Marsha Thomason as Nessa Holt, and James Lesure as Mike Cannon. Las Vegas rolled into town September 22, 2003.

Las Vegas Theme Song

I’ve got a room here at the Mandalay bay
I’ll take a shower then I’m on my way
I’ll bring a friend if someone picks a fight
Here in Las Vegas tonight
It’s close to midnight when I hit the strip
The maiden voyage on my Vegas trip
The night is young and everything’s alright
Here in Las Vegas tonight

Dancing girls and cabarets
You can spend your money in a million ways
Let’s have a ball
The winner takes it all

In Las Vegas
In the neon lights
You’ll be a star if you do it right
In Las Vegas
Oh oh oh
You better hold on tight
In Las Vegas
Can’t believe your eyes
Your luck can turn in a throw of a dice
In Las Vegas
Oh oh oh
You better hold on tight
Here in Las Vegas tonight

I’m leaving with a million dollar smile
The hotel manager can check my file
Fred the Limo-driver’s asking polite
- Leaving Las Vegas tonight?

Dancing girls and cabarets
You can spend your money in a million ways
Let’s have a ball
The winner takes it all

In Las Vegas
In the neon lights
You’ll be a star if you do it right
In Las Vegas
Oh oh oh
You better hold on tight

Hey, yeah yeah
(In Las Vegas)
In Las Vegas

In Las Vegas
In the neon lights
You’ll be a star if you do it right
(In Las Vegas)
Oh oh oh
You better hold on tight
In Las Vegas
Can’t believe your eyes
Your luck can turn in a throw of a dice
In Las Vegas
Oh oh oh
You better hold on tight
Here in Las Vegas tonight

Three Weddings and a Funeral Part 1 and 2

So, Las Vegas is over. Season 5 finale was a two hour episode entitled ‘Three Weddings and a Funeral’. Season 5 was good-rated and was really an appreciable season from series. Okay, I’ll give it 8 from 10. So, how much from your side?

First wedding on episode relates to Piper and Mike who are officially married. Everything seems good. But Mike’s parents discover all that, oh! Life is so hard. But Michael tells lie and says that they’re not married yet but are getting married on Saturday. Oops!! Is it really possible to plan a marriage in just two days?

Second couple is Danny and Delinda who go after Mike and Piper’s plans. While helping them all to arrange Bachelor parties, they decide to plan their own future. Delinda’s mom comes for wedding and makes her aware that she and her dad had split up. Finally, the third wedding is of Sam and Vic Manning. They are in love after the death of Casey when Vic told Sam that he loved her. Do you remember Sam’s words to Delinda, “I’m still in love with Casey and whenever I look at Vic, I see him”? So Sam agrees to marry Vic.

Some thieves try to steal a rare stamp, up for auction when Danny, Piper and Mitch are taken hostage. On the other hand, Delinda and Cooper had a nice dinner at restaurant. Delinda uses the opportunity to get to know their mysterious owner. All couples are preparing for their marriage and suddenly everyone receives unexpected news. Montecito jet crashed on its way to the airport, and all the passengers are dead.

Here ended the Las Vegas season 5 . Well, I don’t have latest info about season 6 but would like to share with you buddies, whenever I will get.
